Overlooking Rockland Harbor, a true working waterfront complete with hardy lobster boats and graceful schooners, the house also offers 180 degree views of the Breakwater Lighthouse and glorious Penobscot Bay, dotted with islands.This open concept house is modern and comfortable and situated on 3 private acres and has 475 feet of waterfront. The house is situated so that there are views from virtually every room – even the view from the kitchen sink is amazing!The front of the house has a deck that stretches from the master suite to the living room – comfy sitting areas abound and the views are unrivaled.The house boasts vaulted ceilings and dozens of windows bring in natural sunlight, let fresh ocean air in and offer views that are ever-changing with the tides. A magnificent center chimney separates the dining area and kitchen from the living room.The kitchen is beautiful and is a perfect spot for group meal prep with gourmet appliances including a double wall over and an in-island gas cooktop; a large center island provides a great place to sit and chat with the chef. Lots of granite counter space and a direct access onto the deck.The dining area is just off the kitchen with seating for six. The living room also has direct access onto the deck and has comfortable seating centered around a large, flat screen TV (you probably won’t even think to turn on the TV during your stay once you see these views!).We know that working vacations have to happen sometimes and there is an alcove off the living room that is perfectly suited for a work space – it also can double as a great spot for jigsaw puzzle assembly, board and card games!A sweet, sunroom is also here with comfortable chairs – a great place to read or catch a late afternoon nap.There are two bedrooms on the first floor; both bedrooms offer jaw-dropping views. The first bedroom has a queen bed and is directly across the hall from a full bathroom.The master suite is beautiful with a king bed, a private bath with a shower/tub combo and a two-sink vanity. There is also a sitting area with a flat-screen television and direct, private access to the deck.Downstairs find another bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom with a shower.Owls Head is located just 5 minutes from Downtown Rockland – Crescent Beach, one of the area’s most beloved beaches, and Birch Point State Park are located here.
