NEIGHBORHOOD – CAPITOL HILL Enjoy a multitude of neighborhood restaurants on Capitol Hill with outdoor dining and curbside pick-up. For grocery shopping the largest and longest continually running Farmers Market's in the city is Eastern Market, the soul of Capitol Hill, at Pennsylvania Ave and 7th St. There's also a Whole Foods on New Jersey (walking distance) and a Harris Teeter on 4th St SE. History and culture are at your doorstep when staying on Capitol Hill. Walk to the National Mall with which has 11 museums and 12 memorials. The US Capitol grounds, Library of Congress, Botanical Conservatory, National Gallery of Art and SW Waterfront. All are all within 2 - 6 blocks. Transportation is a snap, walk 2 blocks to the Capitol South Metro Station serving the Blue, Orange and Silver lines. Car, bike and scooter share are all within a block walk. UBER, LYFT and VIA rides are abundant. If you are heading further afield Union Station is nearby, or if traveling by car you will find fast and easy access to the beltway, VA and MD from the 695 FWY.
