This home, which was originally constructed in 1886, features original oak beams in the basement, wood harvested from a mining cabin (circa 1880's) in the main living space, a gourmet kitchen, and a gas fireplace. The fenced backyard has a great outdoor seating area with a fire pit. The home's defining characteristics, which are abundant throughout, make it unique. It's located on Main Street providing easy access to the famous Ouray Natural Hot Springs Pool, excellent art galleries, delectable dining option, and nearby hiking trailheads. It's the perfect base-camp for off-roading, climbing, fishing, skiing, relaxing, and all of your other mountain adventures. There is on-site and off-street parking. This home served as the Doran Funeral Home for many years and has remained in the same family since 1974. This property is pet friendly and the pet fee is $25/per day (max. $150 per stay).We are taking appropriate steps to prepare for your stay, and have asked all housekeepers to adhere to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting.In addition to our regular rigorous cleaning regimen, they are following housekeeping best practices, paying close attention to high touch surfaces, and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for hard (non-porous) surfaces, soft (porous) surfaces, and electronics. Linens, towels, bedsheets, etc. are washed per the manufacturer's guidelines. We are also minimizing person-to-person contact from check-in through departure. One of the ways we’re doing this is through no-contact guest access via our keyless entry system. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and hosting your stay. COVID-19 Cancellation Policy (applies to reservations booked after April 21, 2020): A payment of $300 is required to reserve the property at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is fully refundable if the reservation is canceled at least 30 days prior to the arrival date, which is when the full reservation payment is due. After the final payment is made, and up to 7 days prior to arrival, the dates of the reservation may be changed without penalty (note the nightly rate might be higher) or 100% of the payment amount can be applied as a credit for a future stay (within 12 months of the booking date). Cancellations or changes to the reservation that result in a shortened stay, which are made within seven (7) days prior to the scheduled arrival date, will forfeit the entire reservation amount.

QUAINT COTTAGE ON MAIN STREET

October 2020

This house, located right next door to the St Elmo Hotel, is charming and comfortable. The floor plan is a bit funky -- the laundry is located in the lower level bedroom -- but it worked well for our three-couple group, and the fact that it's pet-friendly made it work even better. The kitchen is big and well-equipped. The property management company is very responsive and we've rented from them many times -- highly recommend them.
