M. Ann M. We stayed here while touring UT and the location and peace and quiet of this cute carriage house were perfect for us! The location made getting all over Austin as easy as pie. The place was clean and quirky - just like Austin. The trees provided welcome shade and the ample windows kept things bright. The kitchen had everything we needed, except oddly there were no coffee cups or mugs. All questions were answered in minutes, and there were plenty of clean linens, towels, and starter soap/shampoo/etc. We would love to visit again!

Stephen C. The guesthouse location to anything downtown was awesome. There was more than enough space for 4 people and there were activities like corn hole (bag toss) there at the residence. The whole property is older but there is some great character in the place. The only down side (and this is being snooty) is that there was no full size coffee maker. There was a little french press but that was is. Otherwise the stay was great.

Bernadette Z. Picked this place to stay while attending the ACL Festival. The place itself was adequate, however, with just a little work it could have been much nicer. A number of windows blinds where missing or broken, which allowed way too much sun in the morning. There were no chairs on the front porch. There is no washer and dryer as listed. The TV was difficult to run and had no basic cable. It was nice to be five minutes to the bus line, but there was a very steep hill to get there. The scooters were plentiful and a great way to get around. The city was beautiful and we had a great time :)

November 2018

I think this is a case of "you get what you pay for". Austin is an expensive city, and the price for this unit was reasonable. Great location near our daughter for our visit. However several items were very disappointing to us:
1. No cable TV. This should be clearly stated in description. We are seniors and like to watch the live news. Just having HULU and NETFLIX didn't cut it for us. I felt cut off from the world with no current TV or newspapers.
2. The weather turned cold during our stay (in the low 50's at night) and the thermostat was locked on AC, we had no way to adjust the temperature. We had to call Turnkey for assistance several times, finally they sent out a local representative around 7pm after waiting all day for help. They did resolve the problem and get the heat turned on, but this was very frustrating.
3. The fitted sheet on the bed in the west bedroom was in shreds at the lower half of the bed, had several large rips. I can't believe whoever put the linens on the bed used it. It needs to be thrown out, it is just rags. Towels in bathroom were OK.
4. Kitchenware (plates, silverware, pots and pans) were newish, good shape. However there were several basic tools missing: a vegetable peeler, measuring cups, spoons, spatula, etc. Difficult for those of us that cook and don't eat out all meals. Lacked basic supplies like salt and pepper too.
5. Overall was clean, the last morning there was a large roach/palmetto bug crawling across the kitchen floor. Maybe spray for bugs?
6. Good parking as the unit has a dedicated driveway.
7. Very quiet, never heard any other neighbors.
8. Furniture is old, pretty worn. Nothing special. OK for a short stay.
