Nice location for beach and bike. The condo was spacious and well stocked in the kitchen, though a small space for preparing food. Not enough soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms for our stay (15 days) and when I wrote and asked for a restock, they said I had to buy my own. Upon arrival, the downstairs master bath garbage can was filled with trash from a previous person staying in the condo. I later found out it was the owner. Also a pair of tweezers was on the guest bedroom floor. The beds were made, but otherwise there wasn't attention to cleanliness. When I called Turnkey, however, they sent out a cleaner within a day and she did an excellent job and was a very pleasant person (and had a mask and was at a safe distance). One of the gravest issues was that a paint stripping and painting crew came to the condo unannounced and the toxic fumes from the chemicals drove our family out of the condo for a day and into the evening. I have asthma and this was highly concerning. I contacted Jason at Turnkey and he said they were unaware that a painting crew was coming. The crew were there during our entire stay. When I asked for recompense for having been driven out by the fumes, Jason said, "what can I do?" and he did nothing. Also, the keypad to the condo failed on four separate occasions and we were locked out and couldn't lock the door before leaving. It was a huge frustration to have to call, be on hold and then have someone reset the keypad for us. They did send out a person to work on it, but it failed again afterwards and when I asked for a key for the condo, they did not respond to my request. Turnkey was good about texting me back--eventually--and apologizing, but they did not do much to really fix or provide any recompense to our group. I would stay in the condo again, but I suggest VRBO get another property managing group because it made VRBO look bad.

Unfortunately, we had problem after problem. The house was dirty and smelled, the carpets looked liked they needed to be cleaned years ago. Dishes were dirty, inside the cabinets and drawers were dirty. Trash left in trash cans, hairs and dirt in the bathrooms, pee and toilet paper in the toilet. The worst part was dealing with turn key. I could never have someone actually call me back. I’d get a automated reply. Someone was supposed to come out and clean that night we checked in after we noticed the condition the home was in, We left do we wouldn’t get in the way and no one ever showed. Next morning nothing. The customer service from Turnkey was terrible. We got locked out a couple times while we were there from the pin pad not accepting the pin. One time we were stuck outside for almost a half hour waiting for the reply via their text for them to reset and give us a new code. Overall Tahoe as usual was beautiful but the home and turnkey were a nightmare.
