Lou Anne C. The Hickory Spring cabin and surrounding private park is remarkable. Beautiful land, lovely home, and the hosts have thought of everything!
Truly a place to relax, and reconnect with the mountains of Western NC. The trails, the streams, the beavers working in the pond, the comfortable front porch, the cozy home...all made for a memorable family weekend. We will be back!

October 2020

Ann P. We stayed at Tom and Eduardo’s cabin for a week in August. The setting is remote, beautiful and peaceful. With all the chaos in the world right now, it is exactly what we needed! The care given to the cabin and the 152 acres surrounding the property is immediately evident. Everything is thought of down to the smallest detail and touches. There are special, private hiking trails all over the property that have been marked with small wooden signs and groomed to perfection. These trails kept us busy for days! There is a little waterfall and creek on the property which you can hear from the cabin with the windows open or on the front porch. This is the perfect place for adults to rest and recharge and if you have kids, there are so many places in the woods and creek for exploration and activity. The owners are so nice and accommodating. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels, candles, bug spray, books, games and basic necessities. The cabin was clean when we arrived with the windows open, lights on, fresh flowers from the property on the fireplace mantle and veggies from the garden in the fridge. We love how much care and respect the owners have for the land and environment. We’ll definitely come back again!

Hannah K. This is truly a hidden gem! My husband and I spent a long weekend here with our dogs, and had a blast hiking through all the trails. We spent many hours on the front porch (with a provided dog gate!) and many more hours in front of the amazing fireplace with coffee and wine, depending on time of day . If you need a weekend to totally unplug, this is your spot! It was incredibly clean, and Ed already had a fire started for us when we arrived. I definitely recommend grocery shopping before you get there and just staying on the property for the duration of your stay. The road in is rugged and fun, but I do wish we hadn’t had to leave the property all weekend for provisions. Can’t wait to come back!!

Brett G. We loved being remote and having nature to enjoy to ourselves. It was the perfect family getaway for us who simply wanted to enjoy the mountain air and views.
