Brian C. This is an excellent home with amazing views, lovely interior spaces, extremely well appointed kitchen, great sleeping spaces and fantastic master bedroom/bathroom. Don't count on the wifi but the cell phone service is strong.
You can't see another house but are a minute away from the main road - an excellent location. Quite, peaceful - it is just like the pictures. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this is the top of the list.

Everything top notch. Home, furnishings, view all 5 stars. Sauna was great after a long day on the slopes. Only recommendation would be to add a hot tub =)

Sharon B. The heating in this property was difficult. The upstairs was fine, but the rest of the house became very hot and stuffy once the heater was turned on. The windows in the bead rooms can’t be opened. The doors are the only opening to get fresh air. The problem with that is you can’t leave doors open at night, due to Bears in the area. The fireplace key was missing in the game room, so that was unusable. After many attempts to have one brought to the house, finally on our third day one was delivered. The oven didn’t work, so that was a big disappointment.. my guest and I overall made the best of our stay..
The view was fantastic!

Lea M. This home was exactly what we were expecting after reading many of the reviews and zooming in on all of the pictures. Was it the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed? No. Was the location convenient for all of the events we had planned in South Lake/ State Line? Also no. We checked maps (Waze) and CalTrans and knew ahead of time all of the risks we were taking with the potential of the 89 being closed at Emerald Bay and it was still worth it to book it, just to wake up to the most incredible views of lake. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Camp Richardson and 45 minutes to get to Heavenly/casinos/state line area assuming the 89 is open at emerald bay. If not, you’ll have to drive up and around the lake. The 89 closes often in the winter at Emerald Bay.

The floors creak bad. We “slept” on the bottom floor. Because of the noise carrying through the house, even from the tiniest of humans, it was really hard to fall asleep and we woke up as soon as the first person was up.

Downstairs: 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bathroom with a shower, a mini bar, two TVs, two couches, a coffee table, and a pool table. The pool table was in really bad shape, but I’d rather have it there in poor condition than not have it all. The remote to one of the downstairs TVs was broken (missing a chunk out of it) so the TV it operated wouldn’t work. We didn’t watch TV, which made it a non-issue for us.

The middle floor has the master bedroom, a room with two twin beds, a room with two bunk beds, and a bathroom with a shower and tub. The master has a bathroom with a shower and a tub that has a view of the lake. The master and the room with two twins both have doors out to the lower balcony/deck. There is a sauna located on this middle level as well.

The top (main) floor has 1 bedroom with a queen, a bathroom with shower, the kitchen and dining area, main deck, and living room.
