HUGE AND GREAT FOR FAMILIES OR LARGE GROUPS

December 2020

Allison V. We liked this place more than I expected. Yes, the decor and appliances are mostly straight from the 80s, but it actually seems sort of intentional. And the kitchen and baths are dated, but that’s the case in nearly every Big Bear rental, especially dog friendly ones. But the pros outweigh the cons. It’s clean, quiet convenient neighborhood, the fully fenced in yard made it easy for kids and dogs to run free, and the amount of indoor space was fantastic. We had two families with young kids, so each family took a bedroom with bathroom. Then kids had the run of the entire house. Game room was a huge hit and they could explode toys in there, while adults enjoyed upstairs with the bar and deck. The deck feels like you’re up amongst the trees and was so peaceful to sit out there, even in the chilly November weather. We walked the neighborhood, played in the yard, hiked, cooked and drank lots of wine. It was a really memorable thanksgiving weekend being isolated amidst the COVID pandemic.

Recommend bringing extra bath towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels as well as paper goods like paper towels. The initial supply was pretty minimal like most rentals.

We were careful to be respectful of the locals with bringing most of our own groceries and staying isolated near the cabin. Ordered in local takeout because in town was quite crowded when driving through for the holiday weekend, but most were wearing masks. Still didn’t seem like a great idea to be out in those crowds right now. It was nice to have a big house, yard and nice neighborhood to enjoy on our own. Overall would recommend if you don’t mind the 80s!

WINTER VACATION RENTAL

February 2021

Overall we had a wonderful time at the Big Bear cabin! The cabin is huge and the game room was a lot of fun! Also, the location was close to the main strip with restaurants and near Big Bear mountain resort. The only downside was operating the oven. The instructions are a bit confusing and it just doesn't work well. However, the TurnKey team was very responsive regarding the issue. Thanks for a great weekend!

WINTER GETAWAY

March 2021

Pamela C. We had a great time. House is rustic, but everything is clean and works great. Walked in and felt right at home and very happy with our choice to rent this house. Plenty of room to move around in all areas of the house. Game room was great as well, keep us all busy. The house was bigger than we had expected. It had just about everything we needed. Bathroom drains were a little slow and the garbage disposal did not work, but everything else worked perfect. The one thing that sucked is the owners do not allow early or late check out, and 10am to check out is just a tad bit early, 11am or 12pm check out would have made everything perfect.
