VERY NICE

June 2017

Cynthia D. My husband and i stayed in Cabin #7 at The Reserve at Lake Travis for a short anniversary trip. The Cabin was beautiful, very clean modern and high end, not would you would expect from a "cabin". It had a huge bathroom with a large shower, separate room for the toilet and a large soaker tub that shared a wall with the see through fireplace from the bedroom. Good closet space and a washer and dryer were nice to have as well. The bedroom had a beautiful king sized bed (matress was a little firm for my liking) 2 comfortable chairs facing the fireplace and TV across from the foot of the bed. A built in desk area and kitchenette with a small sink, refrigerator, microwave, kuerig coffe maker (with coffees, cream & sweetners) a few dishes and some cabinets that i never even looked in. You had everything you needed for a nice stay. The patio is fenced in and very private and has a very nice grill station, outdoor shower, 2 comfortable chairs and 2 lounge chairs and a very small yard. The cabins were close together but felt very private. The only negative thing i can say is that there was absolutely no view from our cabin (or most of them) because the only windows in the cabin are nartow Windows along the edges ofvthe tall ceilings. The let in good light but the only view is the tops of the surrounding trees. There are glass patio doors but the only thibg you see is your patio the fence and the back wall of the next cabin that it attaches too. Also they are in the process of building more cabins so part of our fence was missing and a chain link fence surrounding the work area cut across the middle of our yard. Plus you could see and hear the construction workers working on the cabin in front of us all day. A little disappoining for the $$$. But by next summer that should all resolve itself. The grounds, pool and lake were beautiful and PERFECT. The area had lots of trees and natural areas, we saw several jack rabbits and deer with their fawns. We were happy here.

DISAPPOINTED.

Timothy M. We came back this year in hopes to have the same great experience as we did two years ago. We rented a cabin for 4 this time. We rented cabin #10. This cabin was advertised to be for 4 people, with two double beds and an outdoor patio fully furnished with BBQ grill and a table with 4 chairs. Two days before our trip, we were told that Cabin #10 was not available anymore. That the A/C had broken down. They offered Cabin #7 but Cabin#7 was not available on the website so I requested some pictures and was told they didn’t have any pictures because this was a model Cabin. They assured us it would be very similar to Cabin #10, except for the two beds but they would include an air mattress. We arrive and there is no easy access to the cabin from a parking area. All suitcases and coolers have to be carried from the parking lot across the street to the cabin. The cabin did not have the table and the 4 chairs in the outdoor patio. The patio was very dirty and dusty. We come in and the A/C seems to not be working. We call and they told us that it would take a while for the A/C to cool down. It did take a day to cool down. Thermostat was set at 79. It would be nice if it had been set up at 74 to help the A/C cool down quicker. Because this cabin wasn’t a cabin for 4 originally it was not set up for the right amount of towels, coffee pods, etc. We called to see if they could transfer the table and chairs over to this cabin and they said it was not possible. So we did not have a place to have breakfast and dinner but on our laps. The ice making machine was broken. The top windows inside the cabin were not covered so the light would come in very brightly every morning at 6am.What made it all worse was the lack of responsiveness from the management. Every time we called was a negative response. Other than that, the pool area was really nice and the waiters very attentive. We enjoyed our ride in the lake and fishing in the little pond but we will not be staying at this property again.

UNIT 7 VACATION STAY

July 2019

stay was nice. We had several issues during our stay. the first was we noticed our sheets and bed covers were not clean. then we noticed that the keurig in the unit did not work. and then we had no internet access which was a big issue because I was unable to work on the friday I stayed.

GREAT GETAWAY

August 2019

Dona D. The Reserve is a lovely, quiet place with plenty of water within in walking distance (pool, lazy river, lake) and a great restaurant on site. The cabin was gorgeous and clean and private. We will be back!
