I felt like Mr fixit because of all the broken things, including the wifi, tv's, furniture, and cook top, that needed some type of work to function. The space is better than a campground, in a good location, but I hope turnkey is sharing info with this owner so they can do some maintenance.

robert s. We were excited and on our way driving from Vista, Ca. to Lake Tahoe in the car, when we got a phone call around 3 pm from a gentleman from Turnkey who informed us that we could not check in now until 5 pm. He said that Turnkey needed the extra time to clean because of the Corona Virus. I told him that we would stop along the way, & would try to get in touch with our kids, one coming with her family from Davis, Ca. & another from Escondido, Ca.. The gentleman apologized & said he would do what he could to get some sort of reimbursement. Luckily we got in touch with our kids & informed them of the new check in time. We all thought it was ok, as long as the place was clean and safe. We finally got to our destination & we were all stunned at the condition of the place. The first thing we noticed was the condition of the carpet. The outer portions where there was no traffic was a beige color & the inner portion of the walk areas was a dark (almost black) color. Then we noticed that the euro recliner was broken & almost sitting on its side. Sitting in it would have been a health risk. Next we noticed that the windows were so filthy you could hardly see out of them. Later we discovered that two TV’s did not work, one of the ceiling fans had no battery & the laundry detergent container was refilled with water. Within an hour of getting into the rental we got an email & a text from Turnkey asking us if our place was clean. I responded to both the test message & the email saying we were very disappointed. I soon got another text message telling me someone would be contacting me. I also called a number that Turnkey had left on one of their e-mails and had to leave a message. I finally got a phone call about 2 hours later and explained how dirty the rental was. I talked to a lady by the name of Leslie and she told me that someone would be contacting me very soon. We were told someone would come out and look at the place, but no one ever did. Very disappointed. Robert S

Dana I. We were shocked at the condition of this rental! I had read a few negative reviews before booking but called in and was told all those issues had been remedied. Don’t believe it. Find another place for your vacation and save yourself the hassle and stress of dealing with: Filthy, black carpets in the entry, and stains on rugs throughout the house, broken furniture and non-functioning, dust-covered light/ceiling fan in the living room, very greasy and visibly dirty tables, chairs and kitchen cabinets, crusted food on dishes and utensils, dirty standing water in dishwasher (we pulled out pieces of broken glass and plastic and had to run it empty before we could do dishes) dust encrusted fans (and portable fans) that threw dirt clumps all over the floor and table, grime covered light switches and railing, a wad of long black hairs in one bed and random hairs in all other beds, stained towels and comforters, super dusty windowsills and baseboards, dead bugs, dirt clumps and a dried out used contact lens found on the floor, an ill equipped kitchen, filthy patio furniture and porch area and a lack of towels and cleaning supplies! I have pictures of it all, but I doubt I can post them here! We expected an ULTRA-CLEAN place after reading about the extra cleaning measures being implemented during the pandemic, but we have NEVER stayed in a dirtier place! We were traveling with my 77 year old Mother-in-Law to get her some much needed socialization and a change of scene from her lonely house, but this place caused our whole group anxiety! We spent the whole first night (5 hours) cleaning and doing laundry with supplies I had luckily brought from home. Late that first night they offered to move us, but the next day said it wasn’t possible. I certainly hope no one in our party of 8 comes down with Covid-19 after living in that place for 4 days! Just completely unacceptable!

Benjamin M. This place was the opposite of what Turnkey advertises. The place was dirty, the carpets were more black and gray than they're original color. Even the handrails where you're expected to put your hands were black. There were utensils in the kitchen drawer that had food on them. The sheets had hair on them. The recliner in the picture was broken and my son fell out of it. The foosball table was broken. Not like staying in a premium hotel AT ALL.
