There’s a reason this beloved family home is named Heluvaspot…its located in one heck of a glorious spot on Port Clyde Harbor. The setting is coveted with long, outstanding views of the open ocean, Marshall Point Light House and the island beyond and stunning views of the inner harbor. A large lawn gently slopes to a private wharf – think kayaks, swimming and fishing.Available for rent for the first time ever, this is a well-loved, no frills true Port Clyde Summer House that is comfortable and excellently maintained.Located on coveted Raspberry Lane off Horse Point Road, walk to the village for dinner or to pick up lobsters for a twilight lobster bake. Bike to the Lighthouse or Drift Inn Beach (one of the area’s only public, sandy beach) and come back to Heluvaspot, sit on your deck and watch the sun set over the spikey, ancient pines of Hupper Island. The house sleeps 6 in three bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms; the front door opens into a small mudroom that leads to the living room. The living room has a large picture window overlooking the lawn and the waterfront and has lots of seating; this is a great place to read, visit and nap.The kitchen is large and well-equipped; lots of counter space allows for group meal prep. The kitchen is open to the dining room which has some of the best views in the house. A large dining area is perfect for big meals (lobster bakes!) and can also serve as a great place for putting together puzzles, playing games or sitting around and getting to know each other again! On the first floor you will find a comfortable bedroom with a double bed. There is a full bath and laundry room off the kitchen and a cozy den offers a place to watch the game.Upstairs are two bedrooms and a large bath. The master bedroom has a queen bed and amazing views from two large windows. The second bed room has two twins and overlooks the back yard. The bathroom is large with a shower and a tub. You’ll find plenty to do in Port Clyde if you just want to stay put (how about a day trip to magical Monhegan Island?) but if you decide to head out, Rockland, Camden and Rockport are just a short car ride away. And, as always, the Midcoast area is equidistant to must-see places like Boothbay, Bar Harbor and all the towns in between.BEFORE YOU BOOK INFORMATIONFIRES: ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THIS PROPERTY.MID-STAY CLEANS ARE REQUIRED FOR STAYS LONGER THAN 10 NIGHTS. Lottchen S. We had a perfect week at this wonderful house. If I could give it six stars for location, I would. It has a 180 degree water view - from the Port Clyde harbor on out to distant islands - with amazing sunsets. Plus a beautiful lawn and steps down to the water and a dock. Big windows allow you to look out over the water plus there's a deck with a hot tub and a grill. Being able to walk into town for the boat to Monhegan, a group kayak trip, coffee or dinner waterside or to pick up something at the general store, make this a very easy, extremely pleasant place to completely relax. My two children, husband and I absolutely loved it and we all highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful cottage up on the bluff overlooking Port Clyde Harbor with fantastic views - especially of the sunset! The house is bright, clean and comfortable and the deck at the front of the house overlooking the water is a fabulous place to sit and watch the boats go by. There's a hot tub next to the deck for a relaxing soak with that wonderful view. There's also a dock, which is perfect for tying up a boat or lauching kayaks. It's a short walk into the village for ice cream, groceries, restaurants, kayak/paddle board rentals and fresh lobsters. It's about a half mile walk to the Marshall Point Lighthouse and to Drift In Beach - great at low tide. You can catch the boat from Port Clyde to Monhegan Island and spend the day roaming the trails. Rockland, a great Maine seaside town with galleries, museums, dining, and ferries to the islands of North Haven and Vinylhaven is 30 minutes away. We will certainly return!
