Colleen T. The space is the corner of the 12th floor. The blackout curtains were welcome for days to sleep in, but I found the sunrises were too pretty to miss. The patio and two beach chairs were perfect to enjoy the views of the canal, mountains, glimpses of the beach and the surrounding areas. The location and proximity to everything in Waikiki was very welcome! Just be careful though, because locals kept reminding us to not stay too long in Waikiki as everything is marked up. Parking is very limited and pricy, Theresa helped us out by telling us about a place a few blocks away for $25 a nice (cheapest option), which we did only for one night. What I would recommend is renting a car day by day instead, as this saves on the headache and wallet-draining effort to find parking. I appreciated the suggestions for things to do, but found that many of the team's recommendations were taken from Trip Advisor and other popular travel sites. I wanted a more representative experience of what locals like, so sought those out instead. Here's a small list of things we did: snorkeling at Shark's Cove instead of Hanauma Bay, Paradise Cove Luau for a really fun and engaging experience instead of Chief's Luau at a water park, Waikiki Yokocho (just like stepping right into Japan and having the best ramen ever), Foodland for poke (Delingham for the most selection and best), the best sashimis at Restaurant Kunio and Keeamoku Fish Market, the best Hawaiian food at Helena's (Highway Inn and Sidestreet very tasty as well), Romy's shrimp instead of Giovanni's, Young's Fish Market, LaVerne for squid luau, and kayaking to a flat island in Kailua really made our 7-day trip. We also spent a lot of time trying out many different shave ice places, and found Mountain Magic to have the best ice and Island Snow (also Obama's favorite) to have the best flavor. These would have been much harder to get to without a car, because we found the bus system a little confusing. Family members we visited advised us against it as well. But every day it was such a wonderful way to unwind by coming back to our serene room with tasteful color schemes and thoughtful touches such as beach towels, coffee packets, and shampoo/conditioner/bar soap/moisturizers to help out if you forgot to pack any of these in your excitement to get here. The space a bit cramped between the bed, couch, table, but that didn't matter because the Tempur-Pedic king mattress was the reason we were sold on this place and it absolutely did not disappoint. We'd be so happy to come back!
Jesse P. Great place. Minutes away from the beach. We walked down every day. Right in the middle of everything around Waikiki. Shops and food everywhere. Just a few short trips away from snorkeling at Hanauma Bay and hiking at Diamond Head Crater. The Dream Team really made our trip easy and amazing.
Nancy G. This location was absolutely perfect for close access to restaurants and the beach. We loved that it was a smaller building (compared to others). Laundry very reasonable and easy to use. We were sticking to a budget and found this one of the cheaper stays, but we were extremely pleased with how clean and accessible this unit was. For anyone who would like to save a little and yet still have a very clean, great location I would recommend this exceptional stay.
