506 Sailmaker#

Lisa R. Perfect place for a long weekend getaway. Condo was clean and nicely decorated. Good location, about 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Balcony overlooking the pool as nice. A/C cooled the main floor very nicely. Upstairs got a little warm, making for some uncomfortable sleeping.

This condo was perfect for our family! It was extremely clean and convenient to everything Amelia Island has to offer. The pool is a short walk away on a paved walkway. We enjoyed swimming and relaxing at the pool. We were able to find a shaded chair every time! If you plan on taking several beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, etc. I would recommend also taking a cart. The walk to the beach is easy but you do have to walk up a slightly inclined paved parking lot, between other beachfront condos, across a very nice Trex decking boardwalk, and through the dunes to reach the beach. It’s an enjoyable walk but don’t expect to conveniently be able to quickly go back to the condo if you forget something. There is a beach service that rents beach chairs and umbrellas. You can reserve them in advance and they’ll set them up for you each day. The complex is extremely nice and quiet. I would suggest turning the thermostat down as soon as you arrive at the condo so the upstairs gets cool. It seemed that the downstairs cooled much more easily than the upstairs. We kept the ceiling fans on in the bedrooms (both upstairs) all day every day and slept comfortably every night. The mattresses are extremely comfortable! We all commented on how well the beds slept. The condo has great quality towels and is decorated very well. It had plenty of kitchenware for our needs. The washer/dryer worked well, as did the dishwasher. None of us wanted our vacation to end and we look forward to going back soon! We would definitely stay at 506 Sailmaker again!

Unit was clean and nice but had ant problems so bad that anything left on counter had to be thrown out. Also, no television in bedrooms was very disappointing.
