Florida is unique in many ways, and the Space Coast is truly unlike anywhere else! Just 45 minutes east of Orlando, this 71-mile stretch offers incredible activities, sightseeing, and fun for all ages. Here’s where to go to make your trip out of this world!

Cocoa Beach

People often visit Cocoa Beach to see the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex at Space Commerce Way. Here, you can see and learn about the stellar technology created and used by NASA. Check out the evolution of the U.S. space program as you meander the “Mission Zones” divided into timeframes, from the beginning of the space race to modern missions. Make sure you take the Kennedy Space Center bus tour, included with daily admission, to see launch sites and working space flight facilities!

Book a last minute stay in a beautifully renovated beach condo where you can call two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and epic views your own. Cook up a local catch in the full kitchen before enjoying it on the private balcony with a partial ocean view!

Looking for a little more down-to-earth Florida action? Head to 401 Meade Avenue to take surf lessons with Cocoa Beach Surf School! Sign up for one- to three-hour surf lessons as an individual or a group. Ages six and up can hang ten with this crew and get to know the coast part of Florida’s Space Coast!

Cape Canaveral

Stay 25 steps from the ocean in a ground-floor beachfront condo rental with two bedrooms and two bathrooms! This affordable beach rental is not far from the Wizard of Oz Museum at 7099 North Atlantic Ave. The memorable collection hosts over 2,000 memorabilia pieces and props from the original 1939 film. Your self-guided tour can include skipping down the yellow brick road to experience a tornado and see Munchkin Land!

Manatees love the warm waters around the Space Coast – especially near Cape Canaveral. Watch the massive sea cows from Manatee Sanctuary Park at 701 Thurm Boulevard, a public park next to the Banana River. There are no tickets necessary for this free activity! You may spot these endangered munching on seagrass along the sides of the river, especially in the wintertime!
